Workshop Wednesdays at W17: Big Ideas, Bold Voices and Real Conversations

At Workshop17, Wednesdays hit different. Once a month, the workday flips into something unexpected: a room full of thinkers, doers and creators, all tuned in to a live session that cuts through the noise. There are no lectures or slide decks at Workshop Wednesdays.

Instead, you’ll be immersed in fast-moving, thought-provoking, idea-sparking events where big questions meet practical answers. Whether it’s a marketing deep-dive, a tech demo or a storytelling masterclass, each session brings fresh energy to the midweek grind. Each session delivers sharp insight, practical tools and the kind of perspective that sticks long after the event ends.

At the most recent Workshop Wednesday held on 9 July, W17 Hyde Park Corner came alive with one of its most dynamic Workshop Wednesday sessions yet, as international speaker and award-winning copywriter Tiffany Markman shared a hands-on approach to using artificial intelligence with purpose and precision.

Speaking to a packed room of entrepreneurs, consultants, creatives and small business owners, Markman delivered her sought-after talk, AI Prompting 101. At the heart of her message: AI isn’t here to replace us. It’s here to work with us. Her method, a three-part framework called The Switch, Over-Explaining and Iteration, offered attendees practical tools to shape smarter, sharper, more human outputs from AI platforms.

“Workshop17 Hyde Park Corner hosted one of my favourite audiences to date,” said Markman. “They came curious, left confident, and stayed engaged from the first sentence to the last question.”

Craig Leppan, tech strategist and MC for the event, added: “Tiffany Markman’s AI Prompting 101 is an absolute standout. With energy, humour and no-nonsense clarity, she unpacks what so many professionals are still grappling with: How do I use AI without losing my voice? We laughed, we learned, and we’ll never write ‘beige’ again.”

This latest instalment of Workshop Wednesdays, one of a regular free member-exclusive event series hosted across all W17 locations, drew a strong turnout and even stronger conversations. For Paul Keursten, CEO of W17, the event reflects a bigger purpose: “We’re building spaces where ideas grow,” said Keursten. “What Tiffany brought to W17 Hyde Park Corner speaks to our broader vision: relevant, real-time knowledge shared in a way that connects people and sparks action.”
