Yuppiechef to open 2 new stores in Johannesburg
CAPE TOWN – Homeware and kitchen retailer Yuppiechef announced that it will be opening two new stores in Johannesburg.
The company said that the new stores would feature certain products that would normally only be found on its online store yuppiechef.com.
The new stores are set to open their doors on the 28th of June at the Mall of Africa in Waterfall Estate and in Sandton City.
Yuppiechef chief executive Andrew Smith said in a statement: "Since the launch of our first physical store two years ago, and with four Cape Town branches now thriving, we’ve always had Joburg customers asking us when their turn was coming – and now we’re opening two at once."
“Through the combination of our online and physical stores our customers have access to a much broader range, bigger than any single store offering,” Smith said.
A new system that will be introduced in stores in a no-queue point-of-sale system which allows customers to pay for their basket of items at any position in the store.
The customer will then be helped by a store assistant during the process.
