Xiaomi launches new Xiaomi 12 Lite in South Africa
Xiaomi announced that its new Xiaomi 12 Lite device will be available in South Africa, bringing a more affordable smartphone option to its locally available flagship range.
According to the company, the device aims to replicate the premium experience, but with a cheaper price tag so that more people can have access to the device.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite features a large 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
For its main camera, the 12 Lite features a 108MP main lens, along with an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera.
The smartphone also features a 4,300mAh battery and a 6nm Snapdragon 778G processor.
It also supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and users can enjoy 67W wired charging.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a recommended price of R9,999 in South Africa and can be purchased online or through authorised retailers, including HiFi Corp, Incredible Connection, MTN, Takealot, and Vodacom.
It is available in the colours: Lite Green and Black.
