Smartphone MVP Of The Year Goes To...
iPhone Or Samsung? 2017's Most Purchased Phone.
This year has been a pretty hectic year for the smartphone industry. Even for a techie like me, I'm getting overwhelmed trying to keep up. But I think what really put us in a spin was Apple and Samsung trying to knock us out with two great smartphones each, in the same year no less. So now that things have calmed down a touch before the iPhone 10 gets released internationally later this year, let's go back and recap what's been going on in the retail aspect of this smartphone industry.
I won't keep you in suspense though because it's not a surprise that Apple's 2016 flagship smartphone was still the most purchased device in the first half of 2017. So Yeah no shock there that the iPhone 7 killed all smartphone models GLOBALLY during the first six months of this year, with the Plus coming in at a close second.
So is Samsung hiding or something? As a major galaxy fan, it's hard to say it, But you will only catch the S8 at spot five after the Galaxy Grand Prime Plus and the iPhone 6s. The s8+ grabs position six only just after the S8, as the sales numbers were super close.
Yeah, i'm salty about iPhone winning out again this year, but then again the last time a phone outsold iPhone was when the Nokia bricks were roaming the earth in those prehistoric times. But Apple has to be incredibly careful these days because their customers are slowly being brought to the dark side and it's not because we have cookies(I'm such a nerd *facepalm*), but because they have come to realize that Android offers all that Apple has in a more affordable package. Oh and I'm saying this because I feel like it: if you are one of those people that say they will never go to a different company other than apple; Bru if you have an iPhone 8 then you are halfway to switching anyway because Samsung made half the phone you are holding your hand (insert evil laugh here).
