Sixty60's online-only Extra Xtra Weekend offers up to 60% off on general merchandise and premium brands
From 23 to 25 May, Checkers Sixty60 will run Xtra Xtra Weekend — the retailer’s most ambitious online-only promotion to date — offering up to 60% off general merchandise, bulk groceries and bulk liquor from Checkers Hyper delivery areas.
More than 250 deals will be available via the Sixty60 app and the Checkers website (www.checkers.co.za), which now offers full e-commerce functionality for browser-based shopping across devices, including Huawei.
“With Xtra Xtra Weekend we are stepping firmly into the general merchandise e-commerce space. We’re competing at the highest level with the intent of becoming South Africa’s everyday store — not just for groceries, but for the full range of household essentials, delivered same day, in a 60-minute window, nationwide,” says Ilze Bylos, Chief Marketing Officer at the Shoprite Group.
Most offers are available to all customers living within existing Checkers Hyper delivery areas. A limited selection of deals on premium brands, including products from Apple, Smeg, and Sony, will also be available to customers residing in areas within Cape Town and Gauteng where Sixty60 offers extended online-only premium ranges.
Standard Bank customers can earn and redeem UCount Rewards points across all participating deals during Xtra Xtra Weekend simply by adding their UCount card details at online checkout.
