Sasol bursary programme now open for applications
CAPE TOWN – Sasol has announced that its corporate bursary programme is now open for applications for the 2020 academic year.
According to the company, the main aim of the bursary is to assist high performing Mathematics and Science matric learners to study at an approved public university or university of technology.
The company added that in order to apply and be considered for the bursary, students need to obtain 70 percent for Mathematics, 70 percent for Physical Science and 60 percent for English.
This is an all-inclusive bursary that will cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals, textbooks and pocket-money, as well as allowances for notebooks and calculators.
Manager of the graduate centre at Sasol, Monica Luwes said in a statement: “At Sasol, we help our bursars harness their potential, by offering them not only financing for their tertiary education but also the opportunity to start and succeed in their careers."
Sasol added that it was looking for learners who want to study towards a B Eng or BSc Eng in various engineering disciplines, BSc in Chemistry and Accounting (CA route) or learners interested in studying Instrumental, Mining Survey and Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Students who are awarded bursaries are also afforded the opportunity to do paid vacation work and be part of the Graduate Development Programme when they complete their studies.
Deadline for the applications is for the 30th of April 2019.
