The new Apple iPhone SE 2020 will cost you R9999
Apple announced that South African customers will be able to purchase the new iPhone SE 2020.
The device features an Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 11 line. Storage ranges from 64GB for the cheapest version, to 256GB for the premium model.
It is also IP67 water and dust resistance with the Touch ID sensor, no headphone jack, and Apple’s Lightning port for charging also returns.
The device is also compatible with Qi wireless charging docks.
The iPhone SE 2020 also comes with a 12MP f/1.8 camera at the rear and upfront lies a 7MP f/2.2 snapper.
In the US, the phone will be sold at $399. For South Africa, that price is R9999. Notably, that’s also just R1000 more than the original budget iPhone.
iStore is also offering users a free extended warranty and screen replacement for those who preorder.
And speaking of that preorder, you can order the device from Friday 8 May. It’ll begin shipping to customers’ doors from the 11th May.
