Microsoft shows off new Surface Book 2
CAPE TOWN – Ahead of its surface event this coming April, Microsoft added a new tier to its Surface Book 2 lineup with a new laptop that features an Intel 8th generation Core i5 processor.
The new Core i5 option at the Microsoft Store is available on the 13.5-inch Surface Book 2, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $1,499 (R 21124,58?).
The refreshed quad-core model will be priced at $1,499 and includes an i5-8350U which bumps the processor’s maximum boost clock speed up to 3.6GHz.
Microsoft is yet to make any announcements on plans to release a Surface Book 3.
Microsoft is set to have its next Surface event on April 17th in New York City.
The company is expected to detail pricing and availability for its Surface Hub 2 hardware, and associated accessories and more.
