Darling Brew has recently introduced its latest creation, "Break Free," a gluten-free Lager, marking a significant development that combines the brewery's dedication to exceptional brewing with a commitment to conscious living and ecological sustainability.

Tewie Roos, Managing Director of Darling Brew, emphasized the brewery's belief that beer should be about enjoyment. He expressed enthusiasm about introducing Break Free as a tribute to the White-Bellied Sunbird—a symbol of freedom and strength. The vibrant colours of the Sunbird have inspired the lively label of Break Free, promoting the idea of breaking free from gluten limitations and savouring beer without constraints.

Darling Brew's dedication to these values has been recognized with eight awards at the 2023 South African National Beer Trophy Awards, in addition to five awards at the African Beer Cup. Notable among their gold medal-winning brews are the non-alcoholic Just Naked Lager, Tjaila Grapefruit Shandy, 'Light Speed' Low Alcohol Lager, and 'Black Mist' Black Ale.
Roos expressed pride in these accolades, considering them a testament to Darling Brew's commitment to excellence. Looking ahead, the brewery plans to continue pushing boundaries and setting new benchmarks in the craft beer industry while remaining true to its heritage and values.
