AB InBev brewers in SA and the US collaborate on new beer

CAPE TOWN – Two breweries owned by brewing giant AB InBev have collaborated on the launch of a limited edition special brew with the aim of bringing two hops styles from South Africa and America together.

South Africa's Newlands Spring Brewing Company and Elysian Brewing Company in the United States named this new brew 10,000 Miles Fresh Hop Ale which represents provenance and the distance between the two breweries.

The recipe behind this new beer features 13 varieties of hops and three varieties of malt used and is a wet hop beer, made within six hours of the hops being picked.

The beer will be available from 1 May 2019 at Newlands Spring and selected outlets in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.
