VFS Global to open new Italy Visa Application Centres in SA
CAPE TOWN – VFS Global announced that it has been given the contract to provide Italy visa services in South Africa and Botswana.
The company manages visa and passport issuance-related administrative and non-discretionary tasks for its client government.
It also stated that it will be opening six new Italy Visa Application Centres in Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Polokwane and Gaborone.
Chris Dix, head – business development, VFS Global said in a statement: “VFS Global is extremely pleased to be mandated by the Consulate General of Italy in Johannesburg to bring its best in class Italy visa services to the residents of South Africa and Botswana. We have been running successful operations in the region since 2007, and look forward to adding Italy visa services to our operations there. Additionally, at a global level, we have been re-awarded contracts to continue Italy operations in India, Ivory Coast, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United Kingdom, reaffirming the Schengen nation’s faith in our service excellence.”
In Africa, VFS Global currently operates 11 Italy Visa Application Centres across eight countries, processing more 72,000 visa applications on average per year.
