Samsung launches a new A-series device, the A31
Samsung announced that it has launched a new device that falls part of the A-series called the Galaxy A31.
Featuring a multi-purpose Quad camera, an immersive Infinity-U display and a powerful 5,000 mAh all-day battery, the device lets you work, stream, and game for longer with ease.
“The Galaxy A Series has always stood for value. The Galaxy A31 embodies this in a big way, through its premium features offered at an affordable price. We designed the device with bigger screens, powerful batteries and cutting-edge cameras – to bring A new world to life,” said Justin Hume, Director: Integrated Mobility at Samsung South Africa.
It comes with a 6.4-inch* Infinity-U Super AMOLED Display with a 1080 x 2400 (FHD+) resolution.
The Galaxy A31 has the cameras and the features to turn a moment into an event – live from wherever you are.
The device features a 20MP front camera that gives you clear, high-resolution photos with Live focus.
Go ultra high-res with a 48MP Main Cam for crisp, clear photos day and night. A 123° 8MP Ultra Wide Cam captures more of the view. Choose the upgraded 5MP Macro Cam for highly refined close-ups, and make sure the subject always stands out with the 5MP Depth Camera’s multiple Live Focus effects.
It also features a 48MP Main Camera, built-in 5MP Macro Cam (40mm) shoots with clarity and quality helping you bring out the ultra-fine details of your close-up shots and a 5MP Depth Camera lets you adjust the depth of field before and after you nail the shot.
It also features 15W Fast Charging, an Octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, with 128GB internal storage. You can add even more with a 512GB microSD card.
It also features an on-Screen Fingerprint scanner that recognises your unique fingerprint, so you are the only one who can authenticate and unlock with a touch.
The Galaxy A31 is available from 15 May and in Prism Crush Black and Prism Crush Blue.
Local retailer Cellucity has it listed for R6999, while Vodacom is offering it on contract for R399pm.
