Samsung launches new S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
Samsung Global launched its new Galaxy S line of devices in the form of three S20 smartphones at its annual Unpacked 2020 event in San Francisco.
Samsung South Africa had a local launch in Johannesburg to showcase the devices to the local media.
The S20 series features three devices called the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra offer 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch OLED displays respectively
Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra is the flagship of the range, offering a highly-advanced camera system with up to 100x Super Resolution zoom and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

1. The S20
The S20 will feature triple rear-end cameras with a Telephoto 64MP lens with a Wide-Angle 12MP lens and Ultra-wide 12MP lens.
The selfie camera will feature a 10MP Dual Pixel lens.

The S20+ features a quad camera with Depth Vision, 64MP Telephoto lens, 12MP Wide-Angle Lens and a 12MP Ultra-Wide lens.

3. The S20 Ultra
The Galaxy S20 Ultra boasts a quad-lens primary camera with a 108MP primary sensor, allowing for ultra-high resolution photos.
It also has a 48MP Telephoto lens, 12MP Ultra Lens, Depth Vision and a 40MP selfie camera.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra also boasts 10x telephoto zoom and a dedicated TOF lens which delivers improved depth sensor effects.

All of the new Galaxy S20 devices also boast camera systems that can record high-quality 8K video.
The smartphones are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 990 chipset, which can be paired with a 5G modem for high-speed connectivity.
Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra also boasts 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via a MicroSD card.
Starting on March 6, 2020, the Galaxy S20 series will be available in various, classic colours:
- Galaxy S20: Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink
- Galaxy S20+: Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cosmic Black
- Galaxy S20 Ultra: Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black.
