Samsung launches new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4
Samsung has announced the latest generation of its foldable smartphones with the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.
The tech giant noted that the devices will be coming to South Africa.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4
The new Galaxy Z Flip features a few improvements from its predecessor: a bigger battery, a slimmer hinge, and a cover screen with improved functionality.
Samsung has also partnered with Meta to improve the optimization of apps like Facebook and Instagram for the foldable format.
The device features a 6.7-inch foldable FHD+ AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the cover, it has a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display where you can view notifications and camera previews.
It also features three camera lenses which are the selfie camera that is a 10MP, while the main camera includes a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP ultrawide-angle lens.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4
The Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 features a vertical fold down the middle and according to Samsung, is its lightest and strongest Fold device yet due to a redesign of the hinge.
The Fold 4’s external display is also wider with an aspect ratio of 23.1:9 as opposed to the narrower 25:9 ratio on the Z Fold 3. It also weighs about 20g less than its predecessor.
The device also features S-Pen stylus compatibility, with a 7.6-inch AMOLED 2X display. This wider display brings the screen size closer to that of a small tablet.
Its main feature change is found in the camera as it features a 50MP wide-angle lens with Optical Image Stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide-angle lens and a 10MP telephoto lens for its main camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a recommended price starting at R21,999.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts at a recommended price of R37,999.
Pre-orders open on 10 August, with the devices arriving in-store on 1 September. The Z Flip 4 will offer storage options in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, whereas the Fold 4 will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
