Samsung launches new Galaxy Tab S6
Samsung has launched a new Galaxy Tab S6.
DJ Koh, chief of the IT division at Samsung Electronics said in a statement: “Today’s inspiration comes at a moment’s notice and creatives and professionals need a device able to keep up with insatiable imaginations while complementing their busy, on-the-go lifestyles.”
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a dual-lens camera system that will include an ultra-wide lens, the first time this has been offered on a Samsung tablet.
The front camera consists of 8MP and the rear-end dual camera will be 13MP + 5MP.
The device will be powered by a 7,040mAh battery, 7nm octa-core Snapdragon 8150 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and have 256GB storage space.
It will also have support for an additional 1TB of storage available through a MicroSD slot and have quad speakers powered by AKG and Dolby Atmos.
The Galaxy Tab S6 will also feature an on-screen fingerprint scanner and an improved version of Samsung DeX – the feature that allows users to transition their tablet into a PC-like experience.
Included with this new device is Samsung’s signature S Pen with remote control functionality and wireless charging capabilities that allows users to take selfies and videos, or control the multimedia content you create even when the tablet is not in your hands.
South African pricing and local availability are yet to be announced.
