Pick n Pay Eases 'Back to School' Burden with Financial Support for Customers
Pick n Pay is helping families by giving R1.1 million for school fees and back-to-school supplies. The company understand that many parents are struggling with money, especially after a tough year and the hard month of 'JanuWorry.'
Andrew Mills, the Chief Marketing Officer at Pick n Pay, says, "We want to make a positive impact on our customers' lives in 2024. We know the past year was tough for many. With this new plan, we want to help families with the costs of going back to school this month."
Through the Smart Shopper program, Pick n Pay will give back up to R600,000 for stationery bought at QualiSave stores. They will also reward 10 Pick n Pay customers with R50,000 each for school fees.
The Pick n Pay School Club will make sure about two million students get extra physical education materials. They will send educational content to over 2,600 schools, which can also be downloaded for free from their website (https://schoolclub.co.za/resources/).
The Club plans to donate 34,000 pencil bags to Grade 4 students and give away stationery with their partners.
Mills emphasized their commitment to supporting the community in simple, meaningful ways. He believes that by investing in education, Pick n Pay is investing in the future of South Africa.
To win, QualiSave customers must buy five or more advertised back-to-school items, and Pick n Pay customers must spend over R250 on advertised back-to-school items before January 28, 2024.
Pick n Pay customers can also get spot prizes like Ster-Kinekor tickets, Spur vouchers, and Lego sets in January. Orders placed on Mr D and Pick n Pay asap! with a linked Smart Shopper card will also qualify for the Pick n Pay school fee competition.
