HONOR launches the X9c in South Africa, bringing flagship AI to the mid-range market
Global technology brand HONOR has unveiled the highly anticipated HONOR X9c, the latest addition to its X Series. Designed for durability, long battery life, a stunning display, and advanced AI photography, this sleek device delivers a premium experience at a competitive price.

The HONOR X9c features the next-generation HONOR Anti-Drop Display with ultra-tempered glass and a bezier curve design for exceptional resilience, surviving drops of up to two metres. It also boasts IP65 water and dust resistance, ensuring reliability even in challenging conditions.

The X9c is the first smartphone in its class to feature an ultra-large 6,600mAh silicon-carbon battery, delivering extended use on a single charge. Equipped with a 108MP Ultra-Sensing Camera, the X9c captures stunning images in any lighting. With 3x Lossless Zoom and multiple portrait modes, users can take professional-quality photos with ease. AI features like Motion Sensing and AI Eraser further enhance the photography experience.
Sleek design with intelligent features
Weighing just 189g and measuring 7.98mm thick, the X9c is stylish and lightweight, available in Titanium Black and Jade Cyan. It runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, bringing intelligent features like Magic Capsule, Magic Portal, and Parallel Space.
The HONOR X9c is available at a recommended retail price of R10,999, while the X7c starts at R5,999.
During the launch event, Zhou also teased the upcoming arrival of the HONOR Magic Book X14 laptop, the brand’s first laptop release in South Africa.
