Honor launches new Honor 9X and 9X Pro
Honor unveiled two new premium mid-range smartphones, the Honor 9X and 9X Pro.
The devices will have 6.59-inch displays with 2340×1080 resolution and 4000mAh batteries.
Both the devices feature the HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset that has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores at 2.27GHz, and six A55 cores at 1.55GHz.
For the camera, the 9X will only have two rear-end cameras which will be the 48MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and 2MP depth sensor.
The 9X Pro features three lenses which are the 48MP primary snapper with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Both devices will have the 16MP f/2.2 popup selfie camera.
The 9X will be available in a 4GB/64GB RAM options, as well as two 6GB options, one with 64GB and another with 128GB of internal storage.
The 9X Pro will have 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Both devices will have support for the microSD if users want to expand their storage.
The Honor 9X comes in red, blue and black, while the Honor 9X Pro will be available in purple.
Both devices will also have fingerprint sensors on the side of the device, 3.5mm headphone jacks, USB-C connections for charging and data, and run on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.
South African availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
