Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25, setting a new standard as a true AI companion with its most natural and context-aware mobile experiences yet.

AI-Powered Multimodal Interaction

The Galaxy S25 series introduces AI agents capable of interpreting text, speech, images, and videos for seamless and natural interactions. Enhanced features like Google’s Circle to Search allow users to quickly recognise phone numbers, emails, and URLs directly on their screen, enabling actions such as calls or website visits with a single tap.

Context-aware suggestions simplify actions like sharing GIFs, saving event details, or switching between apps. Natural language understanding makes everyday tasks more intuitive—for example, finding a specific photo in Samsung Gallery or adjusting font sizes in settings. By pressing and holding the side button, users can activate Gemini, facilitating smooth integration across Samsung, Google, and third-party apps like Spotify.

Privacy-First Personalisation

In the era of AI, personalisation must coexist with privacy. The Personal Data Engine on the Galaxy S25 ensures that all personalised AI features are processed on-device, safeguarding user data while offering tailored experiences.

This enables capabilities such as natural language photo searches or proactive suggestions through Now Brief, accessible via the Now Bar on the lock screen. Data security is reinforced by Knox Vault, combined with advanced on-device processing and post-quantum cryptography to protect against evolving threats.

Performance and Efficiency

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the S25 series boasts up to 40% improved NPU performance, 37% faster CPU, and 30% enhanced GPU compared to previous generations. This allows for advanced AI tasks, such as generative editing, to be executed directly on the device.

The series also features ProScaler technology for superior image processing and improved display efficiency, along with Vulkan Engine and enhanced ray tracing for smoother, more realistic gaming. Improved thermal management ensures optimal performance even during intensive use.

Professional-Grade Photography and Video

The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, upgraded from 12MP, delivering unmatched clarity. Default 10-bit HDR recording enhances colour depth, while the ProVisual Engine reduces noise for clear, low-light video.

Tools like Audio Eraser allow users to isolate and adjust specific sound categories in video recordings, while Expert RAW and Galaxy Log enable depth-of-field control and cinematic colour grading. The Portrait Studio feature now supports more realistic avatars and film-style filters, providing professional-level editing options.

Sustainability and Durability

The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a durable titanium frame and Corning Gorilla Armor 2, providing advanced drop protection and scratch resistance. The Galaxy S25 and S25+ incorporate recycled materials in their frames, while the S25 series uses batteries made with 50% recycled cobalt.

With seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates, the series is designed for longevity. Additionally, Samsung Care+ offers coverage for accidental damage, repairs, and replacements, while the New Galaxy Club subscription model provides a flexible option for accessing the latest devices.

The Galaxy S25 series is available for pre-order from 23 January to 13 February 2025, with the Ultra model offered in Titanium Silverblue, Black, Whitesilver, and Gray. The Galaxy S25 and S25+ are available in Navy, Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, and Mint.
