Celebrate with Makro as it opens new store in Pietermaritzburg
The newest addition to the 22 Makro retailers trading in South Africa, Makro Pietermaritzburg, is hosting an event on Friday 28 April 2023 with a range of food fairs, wine, whiskey, and beer festivals, to offer customers an immersive experience with its various vendors.
“Four months after reopening our doors in November 2022, we’re thrilled to be able to offer our loyal customers an unforgettable experience that extends beyond traditional shopping", said Strini Naidoo, General Sales Manager at Makro.
"We're celebrating by offering customers more than just unmissable deals and we’re creating unforgettable experiences for families in our community. There are big deals for everyone to enjoy if they travel to Makro from 23 – 29 April, with deals that our buyers have secured exclusively for our store.”
Makro started its relaunch celebrations by hosting a DIY and general merchandise festival earlier this year - which consisted of the retailer 12 Top DIY vendors such as Plascon, Dulux, Ryobi and Eco Rubber just to mention a few.
Customers interacted with Makro’s extensive range of DIY experts and vendors to provide product knowledge, and get first-hand tips, learn about the latest products on the market and how they could get their favourite projects off the ground. Attendees were also treated to lucky draws and giveaways.
Makro Pietermaritzburg says its enhanced shopper experience extends to its commercial customers in the hospitality, petroleum, informal liquor, education, and supermarket industries, who benefit from a considerable price advantage and an interest-free account facility.
Makro also offers free delivery within a 30km radius for commercial customers who buy goods over R5 000 and up to a 30-day account facility without interest. The store prioritises commercial customers through a separate till point and entrance and exit points to ensure queues move quickly and shoppers can get in and out of the store hassle-free.
Makro’s customer-centric shopping experience aims to offer its customers more range and choice at even more competitive prices.
“We are extremely grateful to the community of Pietermaritzburg for the loyalty and support they have shown us since we reopened. We have solidified our position as a deeply rooted retail, wholesale, and commercial brand in the region that strives to give customers even more reasons to make our store their first choice for all their shopping needs," concludes Naidoo.
