Woolworths Recalls Country Road Two-Tone Demm Mugs Due to Safety Concerns
Woolworths has announced an immediate recall of four variations of the Country Road Two-Tone Demm mug following the identification of a manufacturing defect.
The defect causes the mugs to unexpectedly break when hot liquid is poured into them, resulting in the base separating from the body of the mug.
In a statement, Woolworths emphasized their commitment to quality and customer safety, stating: "Given our commitment to quality and to avoid any possibility of risk of injury, we are actioning this recall."
Customers who have purchased any of the affected mugs are urged to return them to any Woolworths or Country Road store for a full refund. Receipts are not required for the return process. The recall specifically applies to the following four colour variations: Sapphire (60292978 - 4075), Bermuda (60292978 – 7689), Lilac (60292978 – 569), and Dark Olive (60292978 - 185).
Woolworths reassures customers that the rest of the Demm range remains safe to use.
