Tarsus named the official distributor for Microsoft Surface notebooks in South Africa
Microsoft South Africa has appointed Tarsus Distribution as an official distributor for its Surface high-end notebooks and hybrid tablet/laptop devices in South Africa.
Tarsus Distribution was founded in 1985 and over three decades has built an ICT-channel-focussed business which is today seen as one of the best in Southern Africa.
It maintains this position through a continuous focus on its channel partners, results and customer satisfaction-oriented employees, a deep and broad offering of the world’s leading Tier-1 IT brands, tailor-made channel financial services and extensive support capabilities, all underpinned by an unsurpassed nationwide logistics capability.
Tarsus Distribution will initially supply the Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7 models to the channel, partnering with selected Microsoft Distribution Managed Partners (DMP) and limited retailers to bring the products to market from August.
The Microsoft Surface Commercial products for businesses will be gradually introduced, with supply limited to pre-approved Microsoft DMP’s only.
This marks the first time that Microsoft Surface products are available in South Africa through official channels. Designed with a premium look-and-feel and tight integration with Microsoft 365, the Surface Windows 10 devices are aimed at discerning professional users and consumers looking for a device that balances security, aesthetics, speed and versatility.
