Luxury beauty store Arc continues to expand across South Africa

Luxury beauty destination, The ARC store first started as an online store in 2020 and then opened its doors to its first retail store in Sandton City, in 2021 and has since expanded to five other destinations, having a total of six flagship stores across South Africa. 

The Arc store is located in the following destinations; Sandton City, V&A Waterfront, Menlyn, Tygervalley, Gateway and Mall of Africa. 

The ARC promises its customers to “responsibly deliver the beauty of tomorrow, today” with its vision statement to pioneer a new conversation around beauty that celebrates inclusivity, diversity, individuality and sustainability.

The ARC store takes the old-school beauty counter approach and adds its own unique spin on it.

For example, when visiting the store you won’t see the typical beauty consultant, they're offering beauty lovers and shoppers excellent and high-quality service and expertise from their Architects – a team of makeup artists, skin specialists and fragrance consultants, who are available to assist as an added support to ARC's self-service approach.

After launching the e-commerce store in April 2021, the ARC brand continues to stay ahead of the curve by starting its sustainability mission – Doing Beauty Better – to achieve the ambitious goal of being zero waste.

ARC takes a different approach to packaging – rather than requesting the purchase shopper bags, they’re donating R5 to local environmental organisation, Greenpop, on your behalf, if you don’t wish to take one of their locally-made, 100% recycled and reusable bags.

The store is floor to ceiling filled with over 90 global and local brands, including CHANEL, La Mer, Dermalogica, Benefit and Guerlain, as well as Skoon, LeLive and Skin Creamery. The company notes that its list of exclusive brands will continue to grow with time. 

ARC also recently launched the most-followed beauty brand in the world; HUDA BEAUTY, Wishful Skincare and Kayali fragrances into the country as the official stockist, and we’ve been informed that more exclusive launches will follow in 2022. 

Customers can look forward to dedicated areas within the space for all their self-care needs. Browse the extensive collection of skincare products in The Sanctuary, which offers a welcoming space for guests to find and develop their unique skincare routine, book a Dermalogica face mapping session for an accurate skincare analysis, or enjoy a treatment in the privacy of The Pod. Get creative at The Lab, an interactive space for testing newly-launched products, expert-hosted masterclasses or perfecting your new look.

The Arc notes on its website that the days of a one-size-fits-all approach and cookie-cutter ideals of what beauty is, are long gone.
