REVIEW: Yuppiechef's online store and delivery is quick and efficient
At Guzzle, we love to try new things and let our readers know about online stores and their services or about the latest products and if they are worth their price tags.
In this latest review, our CEO at Guzzle, Muntasir Bester tried out South African retailer Yuppiechef's online store.
Firstly, when using their website, it was super easy to use, with no delays.
The online store had a variety of goods, so much so that my wife & I have found a selection of kitchenware that we will be purchasing in the coming months. I am the cook and she is the baker.
We placed our order on Sunday 12 Sep at 22:40 (pm) and then we received the order on Tuesday morning (14 Sep) even though I paid via EFT (bank transfer).
I ordered the Kenwood Chef & Chef XL Blend Xtract Sport Attachment. YuppieChef had this item priced at almost R200 less than Takealot.
I found 3 other retailers offering the same product at a similar price as YuppieChef but they were out of stock and not known to me (retailers I haven't heard of).
They offer a variety of payment options. I personally like bank transfers (EFT, not Instant EFT) because I like paying cash. I hate using a credit card for online purchases. I feel that Instant EFT is not very safe.
I feel safest doing a bank transfer which was the option I selected but I'm sure other payment options would've been safe, YuppieChef is well known.
When the items got delivered, the package was delivered by Aramex. The delivery guy wore a mask and kept his distance. I still had to sign though but the package was neatly and secure, couldn't move around. The box was not oversized with loads of padding.
In conclusion, I would definitely recommend the online store to anyone. I was super pleased with the pace of delivery and the fact that I received multiple emails keeping me up to date about the order/payment receipt/delivery times/item delivered.
I've been telling family about the service I received, and now I'd like to share it with Guzzle users.
