A new brand Tecno launches its Tecno Spark 7 smartphones in South Africa
The series includes the standard Spark 7 and the Spark 7 Pro.
Both devices feature large displays, large batteries, and Tecno’s HiOS software based on Android 11.
The Spark 7 is the more affordable of the two devices. While it has a slightly smaller screen and one less camera lens, it actually comes with a bigger battery.
It features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 16MP dual-lens setup for its main camera. It also comes with an 8MP selfie camera.
The Spark 7 is powered by a 6000mAh battery and according to Tecno, this means it can last up to 30 days on standby.
Next up the next device in the series is the Spark Pro 7 that comes with premium features such as a display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 4GB of RAM, and a 48MP triple-lens main camera setup.
In terms of its design, it features an edge-to-edge display with a dot cutout for the front-facing camera, rather than the camera notch of the standard Spark 7.
However, it is powered by a less powerful battery which is 5000mAh.
The Tecno Spark 7 series will have prices ranging from R1 999 to R3 499 in South Africa, depending on the phone model and configuration.
According to the company, the devices will launch on 16 September but they will be available for sale from 1 October.
