YouTube to allow 1080p video downloads

YouTube is reportedly going to offer its Premium subscribers now the ability to download videos from its platform in 1080p quality on their smartphones.

This is according to a report by Android Police, which stated that before, users could only download up to 720p video downloads. 

The report further stated that the feature was first made available for Apple devices, but is now also available to Android users.

The company didn't state when the feature will roll out to Premium subscribers from all countries, or if it will be limited to certain regions.

Recently, the company increased its YouTube TV, which is a streaming TV service monthly subscription to $50.

In a report by Droid Life, after the price increase, it saw that the company added a longer trial period for the service for “a limited time only."

YouTube TV is offering a two-week free trial instead of the usual one-week duration, However, it is only available for new customers.

The fine print reveals that this promo will run from today until August 14th.
