Sony unveils new a7R IV mirrorless camera

Sony on Tuesday launched a new a7R IV camera to its  Alpha System range. 

The device is a 35mm full-frame camera with a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that has 61MP resolution. 

Neal Manowitz deputy president, Imaging Products and Solutions at sony said in a statement: “The new Alpha 7R IV combines medium format-level image quality with high-speed shooting, extremely fast focusing and an extensive list of upgrades to the design.” 

“Additional enhancements to the body design include an improved grip and button layout for improved control with a compact, lightweight body."

Other key features include 4K video recording, support for HLG video,  shoots at up to 10fps at full resolution, with autofocus and autoexposure.

It also supports microphone input and can hold two SD cards, will be available this September in North America for $3 500.
