iPad could be getting a Whatsapp app

CAPE TOWN – WhatsApp is reportedly developing an official app for the Apple iPad.

This is according to a report by WABetaInfo which states that the app will have the same features as the mobile version of the app and will include a redesigned interface for the tablet’s UI and larger display.

The report further revealed that the iPad app will get its own new features such as split chat view, allowing users to send and read messages while keeping an eye on other chats at the same time.

The iPad version of the app has all the features of WhatsApp for iOS, including voice call support and the ability to lock the app with Touch ID authentication.

The report further stated that the release date of the WhatsApp for iPad compatibility update for everyone is still under development.
