Huawei's new Mate 30 will not launch with official Google apps - report

Huawei's upcoming Huawei Mate 30 device will reportedly not feature official Google apps.

This according to a report by htxt.africa which sited a Reuters report stated that an unnamed Google spokesperson has told that the smartphone will not be sold with any official Google apps like YouTube, Maps or Gmail.

The spokesman told Reuters the Mate 30 cannot be sold with licensed Google apps and services due to the US ban on sales to Huawei.

A temporary reprieve that the U.S. government announced last week does not apply to new products such as the Mate 30,” the spokesman told Reuters.

The reports added that the device will still run Android.
