Huawei launches new GT 2 smartwatch

Huawei announced that it has launched its new GT 2 smartwatch in 46mm and 42mm options, powered by the firm’s proprietary Kirin A1 chip.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 is also Huawei’s first smartwatch with an all-in-one 3D glass screen, creating a wider, boundless display.

The 46mm model features a 1.39-inch OLED with 454 x 454 resolution and 22mm strap like, while the smaller, thinner, and lighter 42mm Watch GT 2 scales things back with a 1.2-inch OLED with 390 x 390 resolution and 20mm strap.

The new smartwatch delivers more sports modes with richer programs, as well as adding Bluetooth calling and music playback functionalities, enhancing comprehensive health and fitness monitoring and management capabilities, ultimately offering greater care in meticulous detail to those who love sport and the pursuit of quality of life.

The device can store up to 500 songs, without the need for a connected smartphone and supports Always-On display capabilities along with a variety of watch faces.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 can also monitor the wearer’s heart rate, daily sleep cycles, and various other attributes.

Huawei stated that the device has a mic and speaker so users can now take calls from their wrist, However, this can only happen if the watch is within 150 meters of your phone.

Huawei’s Watch GT 2 is available in both sport and classic models, each of which has thinner bezels and a slimmer design compared to the original Watch GT.
