HMD's Nokia G20 to launch in South Africa early July

HMD Global announced that its new Nokia G20 smartphone will come to South Africa early July 2021.

The G series forms part of the mid-range lineup for Nokia’s 2021 devices and was announced earlier this year during an event where the company announced its 2021 Nokia C, G, and X series smartphones.

The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ display, comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and is powered by a 5 050mAh battery that is said to give up to three days battery life. 

It also has a 48MP quad-camera setup, featuring a 48MP main lens, 5MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor.

It also comes with an 8MP selfie camera.

Like other Nokia phones, it runs stock Android. The G20 comes with Android 11.

Additioonal features include a fingerprint sensor on the side and supports dual SIMs.

According to HMD Global, the Nokia G20 price will start at R3 299 and will be available at selected retailers in the Blue and Glacier versions. The phone comes with a free phone cover and screen protector.
