Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launches new device

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi announced that it launched the new Mi CC9 Pro device. 

The device features a curved 6.47-inch 1,080 x 2,340 AMOLED with a Snapdragon 730G chip with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

The device features a penta-lens rear camera system with a 108-megapixel camera.

The camera’s ultra-high resolution sensor was developed in collaboration with Samsung.

The rear camera system features four additional lenses, including a 20-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 5- and 12-megapixel telephoto lenses, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor and the front camera comes with a 32MP sensor.

 The device is powered by a 5,260mAh battery and will feature Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and come with a USB Type-C. 

The 6GB version of the device will go on sale in China for 2,799 yuan (R5,900), while the 8GB edition will cost 3,099 yuan (R7,380).

Xiaomi noted that a global launch for the device may happen in the future, but nothing has been mentioned for local availability as yet.
