Ackermans opens stores to sell essential items

Clothing retailer Ackermans announced that it has been granted permission by Government to re-open selected Ackermans stores for the sale of essentials.

The company will only be allowed to sell items such as baby clothing up to 36 months, personal care products, data and airtime.

Ackermans said in a social media announcement to customers: "While we are pleased to provide this service to you, the health and safety of our customers and our staff are our number 1 priority and we cannot put either at risk by opening all of our stores – we thank you for your understanding."

Some of these stores include areas such as Midrand, Soweto, Kempton Park, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort, Centurion, Cape Town and more.

All selected stores and trading hours can be found here.

"If you choose to visit our stores, rest-assured that strict hygiene processes are in place. We understand that this is a daunting time for the nation and particularly parents, we hope that by continuing in our efforts with the government this will provide some relief," said Ackermans.
