In 1908, the All Gold brand was created by a Scottish chemist, John Semble, for production by H. Jones and Co, a jam manufacturing company in Paarl.

The product grew and was mass-produced by 1959 and by 1985, a total of 250 million bottles of All Gold Tomato Sauce were sold. In 1993, The company then expanded its range by launching two new varieties of Tomato Sauce which are Light and Hot & Spicy.

In 2000, The brand went on to launch All Gold Pasta Pronto with four tomato-based variants. In 2004, it was named the No.1 Iconic Food Brand by TGI SA.
