OK Furniture was established in 1927 by two you aspiring entrepreneurs, Michael Miller and Sam Cohen. They first OK Furniture was called OK Bazaars and the two gentlemen established this store a block away from the main shopping hub, on the wrong side of the road.

The shop was a success and the chain rapidly grew becoming one of South Africa’s most trusted and loved brands.

As the success of the group began to grow, OK Bazaars listed on the JSE in 1929 and SAB later bought a major share of the group in 1973. In 1996 the group divisionalised and a stand-alone brand was established for their furniture department- OK Furniture.
